THE NAGAS IN BURMA
The Naga in Burma are found mainly in the Sagaing Division of Burma, which borders Chin Stae in the south, Shan State in the east, Kachin State in the north and Manipur , Arunachal and Nagaland states of India in the West.
There are 23 Naga tribes in Burma. They are:
1. Anal
2. Cheru
3. Chirr
4. Dikhiri
5. Heimi/Tangsa
6. Kengu
7. Khiumnungan
8. Konyak
9. Lamkang
10. Lainung
11. Makury/Makory
12. Mayon
13. Namshik
14. Pakang
15. Para
16. Phellungri
17. Phom
18. Rangpan
19. Saplo
20. Shangpuri
21. Tangkhul
22. Yimchunger
23. Nocte

i don't think these tribes (Phellungri,
ReplyDeletePhom, Shangpuri, Yimchunger, Tikhir and Chirr) are in Myanmar.If you want to know more on the Govt. and Eastern Naga Hoho recognized tribes in Myanmar you may contact me.
