Govt. welcomes signing of ‘Naga concordant’

Dimapur, August 26 (MExN): The government of Nagaland and the chief minister welcomes the signing of the “Naga concordant” in Dimapur today. “The top Naga underground leaders have reconciled on the basis of historical and political rights and have agreed that Nagas are one. In pursuance of this agreement, they have decided to work towards formation of one Naga national government,” a message from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

The signing of the document is historic and deserves to be welcomed by all sections of Naga society and adherence to it will lead to unity, understanding and oneness of all Nagas, the chief minister’s office said. “The state government in its role as active facilitator welcomes and extends its supports to all efforts aimed at unity of Nagas as oneness of Nagas will pave the way for an honorable political solution that will bring permanent peace.”
