In this connection he deeply appreciated the role of the KNSK in fighting against alcoholism in the society and upholding the Nagaland Total Liquor Prohibition (NTLP) Act in Mon town.
Confessing that the NTLP Act is not a total success in the state, the Excise Minister however commented the KNSK for taking the lead in fighting against alcoholism in the society and said that the NTLP Act is the greatest achievement of the KNSK.
Besides, saying that Silver Jubilee is a time for retrospection and introspection, MC Konyak urged the KNSK to introspect on the past successes and to make plans for the future course of action. In this regard, he maintained that the past twenty five years should be a ‘conception period’ and starting from the 26th year should be achievement period where the thoughts and ideas of the KNSK are put into action and results. He encouraged the KNSK to enter the future with new vision and vigor to uplift the educational, economic and developmental features of the Konyak people.
