Nineteen year old student Atokali Awomi was crowned ‘Miss Diva 2013’ Friday night at Town Hall, Dimapur.
First runner-up was bagged by 22 year old girl Lhouvibeinuo (Luvi) while the 2nd runners-up went to Sopou Khiamniungan.
The contest was to be held on December 28 but due to unavoidable circumstances it could not be held on the scheduled date.
After many months of scrutiny and selection across the state six finalists were selected for the contest.
Out of the selected six contestants, three were narrowed down after three rounds- introductory, denim and evening gown and intelligence test.
With the title of ‘Miss Diva 2013’ Akatoli Awomi has also walked away with a contract to play the female leading role in King Chillies Entertainment Pvt. Ltd first film project (English) in the state.
The shooting for the film was expected to start shortly.
Judges for ‘Miss Diva 2013’were a government teacher at Diphupar Government High School, actor and director, Aghato Naga while the official choreographer was model and musician, Kambo Arkha.
Host of the evening was post graduate teacher, Greenwood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Miranda Raymond.
Audience was also enthralled with performances by Extreme Dance Crew, Freakin Dance Gals and the Crazy Street Freakers.
