UT-I NSCN (IM) implements ban on night clubs

Regarding ban on “night clubs” and “brothels” in Dimapur as informed through the media by MIP-GPRN, Central Administrative Officer, Union Territory – I, NSCN (IM), M Daniel Lotha has informed that the UT-I has strictly implemented the same order to “flush out the immoral activities which is taking place in the lounges, club, and restaurants.” The authority has even met the president of “Night club & restaurant” and requested him to stop all those “evil activities which spoils the young generation and unwanted to the Naga culture as well and which is totally against the Christian society,” the CAO added in a press release.
“Naga people also should know that there are certain rules and regulation for club and pubs everywhere in the world, like age limitation and time limitation, but here in Nagaland particularly in Dimapur, we don’t see any rules and discipline in our society,” the CAO stated.





The UT-I authority has requested all the Naga public, church leaders, NGOs, and State administration to co-operate in this regard. It further informed that if any vehicle is found parked outside the night clubs and restaurants after 10:00 pm, it will be destroyed/ damaged. The liquor vendors have also been asked to shutdown their business by 9:00 pm sharp to “save people from accident and manhandling on the street.”

The release also mentioned that some “miscreants” have been collecting money in the name of CAO in and around Dimapur Town, therefore, it informed the general public to “acknowledge” the CAO UT to avoid any confusion. The UT-I authority also appealed to all the business community and peace loving people of Dimapur to stop/ ban tax, contribution and donation until further order.
