ASSAM RIFLES RECOVERS HUGE QUANTITY OF GANJA

Peren, 30 May 14.     Based on specific information regarding transshipment of huge quantity of contraband in general area Pedi, troops of 18 Assam Rifles under the aegis of  HQ 6 Sect AR placed a mobile check post and intercepted one Mahindra Pick Up Van, Regd No NL-01 2123 on 30 May 14.  During detailed search of vehicle, 590 kgs Ganja was recovered which was packed in 59 packets. In addition one Air Gun Model-35 was also recovered from the vehicle.  The occupants of vehicle namely Mr Wetsheto and Mr Sochulo were consequently apprehended.  The apprehended individuals alongwith recovered items were handed over to Peren, Police Station.
